Labour ? 39 weeks

Morning everybody

I am currently 39 weeks pregnant and very ready to pop haha.

I haven't had many symptoms, but I've noticed the past few days I have had a huge amount of white creamy discharge.. I'm just curious if this is a sign of labour pending or just the stage I am at?

Recently had my baby 3 months ago but remember having the same type discharge at 39 weeks. Not sure if it’s linked to implending labour because I was induced at 39 weeks exactly but upon examination my cervix was completely closed, posterior and hard and the midwife said if I wasn’t being induced it would have been unlikely the baby would have come prior to 40 weeks!

I appreciate me saying this is likely to be unhelpful but thought I’d comment as I did have the same discharge at your stage. Hopefully your baby won’t keep you waiting much longer. Good luck! 🍀☺️x

@shan891 I'm 39+6 (due tomorrow) and have had that discharge for the last 10 days or so.

I do think it's a sign! I lost my mucus plug yesterday but otherwise have had no signs of labour.

I feel like you - SOOOO ready to have this baby!

It’s just the stage you are at. Extra hormones and pressure from baby. Not a sign of impending labour unfortunately
