Has anyone had nub theory be wrong?

Just what the title says really. I do believe in nub theory and I know there's science behind it. I know my scans look super boyish, I've had around 30 all boy guesses across different sites. I just have such a feeling I'm having a girl... I know it's more likely to be wrong if it's the other way round (nub theory points girl and it ends up being a boy) Just wondering if anyone has any experience with it being wrong for them?

I will be happy either way just having a boy is going to take a lot of getting my head around! We are a two mum family and already have a DD, there's mostly girls in the wider family.. It's just fear of the unknown I think!

I had it on Tuesday but we’re not finding out until Saturday! Gotta say it’s killing me 😬 I’ll definitely come back and update. Hope you get your girl! 🩷 when do you find out?

@Goalhappy btw just to give you a bit of hope I’ve been researching and I’ve found 40+ images online where the nub looked really boyish and it turned out girl. it probs won’t happen for me but it does happen!

I find out Sunday hopefully! I’ve fully convinced myself boy to try and stop any disappointment- but there’s still that glimmer of hope in me!

Ohhh honestly you’ve got no idea how much I’ve stared at my scans trying to convince myself or find a way to believe that they’re girly 🤣 but I’ve had 50+ boy guesses (from the pros too) so I’ve kinda accepted it now! Although I do think there’s still a teeny tiny chance I think I’d faint out of shock haha

Aww you’ll have to come back here and update too! Just remember if you are disappointed it’s valid. I swear when I realised it was probably a boy I was super sad for around a week and I felt so guilty about it. But I’ve slowly come round to the idea and am even excited now. I do think cos you know it’s your last baby as well it’ll be harder.

I was the same when I found out my first was a boy. He is 8 now and he has been an absolute dream! I can’t even tell you how much you’re going to love being a boy mama 🥰 they’re just the best!! So loving, kind and sweet!

Awww that’s lovely and I know you’re right! 🥺 I know he’ll come along & I’ll wonder why I was so worried. My mindset has definitely changed since I first posted this thread.

I know some people would be over the moon with one of each & we’re very fortunate to be having baby x

My scan nub looked very girly, gender experts said girl- but 20’wk scan says he’s a boy (and I adore him!)

Aw keep us posted OP, it's unusual as most people would like one of each but I can see your concerns etc. I had a girl first followed by a boy and I loved getting boy clothes after having everything so pink & girly 💗 I bet when he's born you will all be in love with him 💙

There is a an Instagram account called thenubtechs and when I was pregnant with my little girl I sent in my 12 weeks scan as a bit of fun, thinking nothing of it. Cost me £10, so I thought oh it's a bit of fun. They guessed 98% chance a girl, I got a scan at 16 weeks for the gender and guess what, a GIRL! I trust it 100%. I was mind blown😂

@Mystro202 aww I will definitely update! I know it will be nice experiencing one of each 😊 no doubt we will be totally in love no matter what sex they are.

@Shannon9955 ohhh I definitely believe in nub theory! I think as long as whoever’s doing it knows what looking at and are over a certain gestation (12+5 ideally I think it is) then it’s crazy accurate. There was a study that showed like 97% accuracy out of 1000 people. done tons of research and it’s only ever wrong for a small percentage of people x

I did! It is a little boy ☺️ I’m actually really glad nub theory prepared me for it! My best friend is due the day after me and she found out she’s also having a boy too which will be lovely 🩵

Aww that's so lovely that you and your friend are due your boys at the same time. I felt sad when I first found out I was having a boy but I needn't have worried. Now I have the two sweetest, loving little chaps and I wouldn't change them for the world. Congratulations x

Congratulations OP. Boys are absolutely wonderful. You'll read this thread back in a year (like I did with my one!) and won't believe you were ever unsure about a boy! ❤️❤️❤️

Congratulations!! 🩵 You're completely valid in the way you're feeling and all of your worries (if you can call them that, can't think of right word) will disappear as soon as you have your baby boy!

Hi there, I can't see a clear nub there unfortunately. Do you have any other photos, maybe not as close up? There's a nub theory site, if you Google them it should come up. I think you pay £5 and they assess your photos and email you the results. I did it for one of my dcs and it was correct 🥰

I am pregnant with my 3rd baby and me and my husband have 4 girls between us, I have posted my scan photo across numerous nub theory pages and sent it off to a professional site! All have said girl. I got my gender scan in 2 weeks and I'm scared that they are going to say girl aswell, as we are all (including the girls) hoping for a baby boy 😩 my girls are going to be so upset, I just know it.

Early glimpse have come back with 99.9% girl for me, I got a gender scan in 2 weeks, praying they are wrong 🤞🏻 4 girls between us, and even the kids are hoping for a boy
