Siblings Scan Identical - same gender?!

I have a little girl already and had my 12 week scan last Monday. In this photo I have attached both scans. The most recent scan is on top and bottom is my daughter. To me they look identical! Does this mean I’m having another girl or is there any chance it could be a boy? We are happy either way but slightly wanted a boy for my husband. Thanks to whoever comments

Your scan looks like mine did! I have 2 girls and currently pregnant with a boy.

OP I’m due my third. Was convinced it’s a girl as early scans and symptoms match my pregnancy with my eldest (and are totally different from how I felt and scan images from my son) but in later scans this one is very much a little boy!

The bottom photo is my girl and the top is my current pregnancy! Is it that one that looks boyish do you think? I just thought because the scans look the same they might be the same gender haha x

That’s interesting, so maybe 12 week scans don’t really tell us anything. It could be a boy yet maybe x

Mine look the same too, DS is DS and the growing one is apparently going to be a DD

The skull of top scan looks boyish. Do you have any more pictures of the scan? If you have one with the 'nub' visible then we can try and see if we can use nub theory. I find it to be very accurate if there's a clearly visible nub. X

Thank you for your reply! Do you think the skull looks boyish I’ve been told girl. I do think it looks the same as my daughters or maybe slightly different! They only gave me one picture! I only have 8 weeks pictures other than that one! So annoying you can’t see nub haha x

I'll attach my son and daughters scan pics. You can see clear difference in the nub and the skull. Just need to find them.

The first picture is my girl. Sloped head and flat nub. Second is my boy. Very bulky head and nub is pointed up. Hope this helps

All babies look pretty much the same at that stage. Including skulls, all babies have roughly the same shape until adolescence. The only way to know at this point is by looking at the nub, unfortunately your photo doesn’t show a nub on it.

I think the skull looks boyish on the 2nd photo! I would say that they both look different and they’re both lying in the same position?

@TaigaSno there is no need to be rude and you don’t need to feel sorry for any of my children. They are loved and wanted beyond belief! It was just a bit of fun because I can’t wait to find out. I also started we would be happy with either which is the truth! But thanks for that, you’ve made me feel like rubbish and sad.

My two scans were bang the same. Also bang the same as yours...I have two boys 😂

I think that this stage it's impossible to know.

@Everyhow we already have a daughter who he devotes his life too and absolutely adores! He doesn’t care if we have another girl. We just only want two so he will never have a son. He’s fine with it but he’s allowed to have a little wonder of what it’d be like. My first time posting and didn’t expect to get hate. Easy to spread hate behind a keyboard I suppose.
