You should get yourself checked by a doctor. In the meantime it's safe to take paracetamol.

I went to the docs yesterday and saw midwife and she just said to have lots of rest and honey and lemon in hot water. Ive drank gallons of the stuff but no good

(sorry, just feeling really down today)

it's fine to take paracetamol at this stage in pregnancy. i still think you should see a doctor to get your throat and ears looked at!

see your GP and get properly checked or stay home and sleep it out.

I'd go with option one as you don't want this to drag on and get into the homestretch completely exhausted.

I am also v ill at 30 weeks right now and it is driving me potty. Sore throat, intense sinus congestion, earache, cough, headaches and tummy cramps. I'd suggest going to right away to your GP, NOT the midwives as this is not their area of expertise.

I went yesterday to GP after a week of not getting better and she told me I had sinusitis and gave me a course of penicillin. She said our immune system is not at its best right now and the body already has so much inflammation from pregnancy that it is very common for colds to hang on and morph into something more serious. I have also been taking paracetomol, drinking lots of Vit C drinks/honey and inhaling vicks steam, which helps a bit but not much... there is so much discomfort at this stage of pregnancy anyway, it seems unfair to have to put up with more! Hope you feel better soon.
