Anyone here in a similar position? I'm feeling a bit of an odd one out on forums now where I don't feel pregnant pregnant and I don't feel infertile infertile, and thought I'd see if others were in the same, tentative situation. I don't feel like I'm ready to join the main May 2024 gang until I'm more confident this will continue.

I'm only 4 weeks 5 days :/

@IVFAlone glad it went well!

@PollywithaP glad to hear went well too, I stop the injections in a few days and I can’t wait!

@IVFKinster it’s so surreal! I was terrified to search for the due date so I know exactly what you mean

I’ve got to wean off pred and Cyclogest, but I’m a bit worried about stopping the blood thinners suddenly on Sunday. Anyone else on Clexane/Arovi? I don’t know if I should move down to aspirin or something 🤨

I say I’ve got no symptoms but honestly I do have, and it’s tiredness, I’m so bloody tired and falling asleep at 8pm every night without fail. I have no idea if this will ease off after 12 weeks.

@IVFAlone Im glad you got good results! I understand you taking time to celebrate. Big congratulations!! I know you were very worried.

countrypunk · 07/11/2023 23:41

Lovely update @IVFAlone ❤️

KG1244 · 08/11/2023 07:35

@IVFAlone yay! So pleased to hear. I agree, definitely felt the weight lift after the 12 week scan. ❤️

@thislittlebird I also had extreme tiredness - napping during the day, in bed by 9pm. I’m now 13 + 4 and I feel like it’s just starting to ease.

thislittlebird · 08/11/2023 10:34

@KG1244 it’s doing my head in. I’m so tired today after being tired last night but I couldn’t sleep because I had a headache. I ended up getting up and eating crumpets and going to sleep on the sofa for a few hours but I’m shattered now. Eating does seem to make me feel less sick. I’m now eating loads this morning because I’m hungry and still feeling rough.

@thislittlebird so tough. I’ve been there lovely. It will pass ❤️Just try and rest as much as you can xx

KG1244 · 08/11/2023 13:28

Hi lovelies, have any of you been tested for Rhesus? Only heard about it today! Guessing it would have been picked up by the IVF clinic?

thislittlebird · 08/11/2023 14:23

@KG1244 I’m in bed again, just had a no hour sleep. Might get up and try to do some work after doing none today so far.

I know about rhesus, they don’t generally test for it, and I know I’m rhesus negative because I paid for the blood type test at my clinic after trying to cover all the options after we’d failed so much. I had a suspicion if could be Rh- because my gran was so I know it’s in my family. Turns out I am and I think my midwife took my blood at the booking in to test for this, so maybe yours did too.

TheBirdintheCave · 08/11/2023 14:37

@KG1244 Nope, I already know it's not relevant to me :)

KG1244 · 08/11/2023 15:01

Thanks both! I’ve messaged my midwife to ask x

CazzyM1983 · 08/11/2023 15:26

@KG1244 i was checked for rhesus when they did routine bloods at 12 weeks scan. I think most people get bloods done at booking appointment but depends where you live.

CazzyM1983 · 08/11/2023 15:29

@thislittlebird i weaned off my cyclogest in week 12 and it was fine.
I wasn’t on clexhane to start with but got put on it after covid for a short time.
ive been on aspirin since week 12 and start clexhane again at 28 weeks. (Because I’m fat, old and had ivf)
im sure you can ask about aspirin. It seems sensible if you have had clexhane all the way through so far?

KG1244 · 08/11/2023 15:30

@CazzyM1983 so I had bloods done at the booking appointment but I don’t know if this included Rhesus. I’ve messaged the midwife to ask. Hoping the answer is yes!

CazzyM1983 · 08/11/2023 15:31

@KG1244 i think they routinely do it but don’t quote me on that.

CazzyM1983 · 08/11/2023 15:34

@thislittlebird i thought the feeling crap, disturbed sleep, nausea;needing a wee in the night, headache blah yuck would never end but it eased slowly from week 14 and now I’m week 16 and I feel pretty much great for now. Just a bit uncomfortable a night now with my hips but a pillow seems to help.
I hate when people say it won’t last forever. It made me want to punch people in the face lol but it will pass reallly reallly soon. It’s horrid but hang in there!

Edited

Same here. Even though it wasnt relevant, because I am Rh+, and its on everything that has to do with my pregnancy. I have no idea what it was requested.

But it was done

PollywithaP · 08/11/2023 19:25

@CazzyM1983 that’s good news and gives me some hope of feeling more normal soon.
Last pregnancy I got a 2nd hand Dreamgenii pregnancy pillow and it really helped support my knees and hips. It was also useful to prop me up in 3rd trimester as I was told not to sleep on my back.

CazzyM1983 · 08/11/2023 19:29

@PollywithaP
I had a look at pregnancy pillows and I’m so unsure why they are all different shapes etc. does it matter? I think I’ve looked so many times and over thought it I have put myself off lol

PollywithaP · 08/11/2023 20:14

@CazzyM1983 The one I got was recommended by a pregnant friend. It was only £5 so I just got it. I found it worked for me as it was relatively small and I needed to put covers over me too (I like to be snuggly). Quite portable if staying away too. Some of the bigger ones are really huge and difficult to manouvre and might only work if you don’t have covers on top. You also need to consider how to turn over without having to sort the pillow out or untangle your legs each time, which would be a complete pain when you get really big, uncomfortable, hot and frustrated! For now you could just use extra pillows? One behind your back and one between/under your knees?

thislittlebird · 09/11/2023 08:36

@CazzyM1983 Yeah I honestly feel dreadful right now and really would like to not feel like this. I’m on day 3 of some sort of migraine. Except usually with a migraine I conk out asleep but this time I can’t sleep through the night so I’m awake every hour putting tiger balm on my head.

I hope it goes away soon, I’m working on a new project at work and now I’m worried I won’t be able to do what I’ve promised because of this. Im definitely not going to be very productive today. Again. There I was hoping my migraines would go away during in pregnancy and that really has not happened.

@thislittlebird you have my sympathies! If I’ve had migraines in pregnancy so far they have knocked me out and I’ve just slept but that’s not ideal when ur trying to work too is it.
I haven’t had any for a couple of weeks now. To start with I was getting them every week really bad. I think that’s partly what my bad nausea was to be honest.

CazzyM1983 · 09/11/2023 09:51

@PollywithaP thanks for tips! I’m gona stick with extra pillows for now I think. Those really big pregnancy pillows look so appealing but I’m not sure I need one at this stage and some of them are quite pricey.

WhatTheFudge0 · 09/11/2023 13:40

The migraines sound awful @thislittlebird - have you asked to be referred to a migraine clinic? It's especially worse when you can't take any serious pain relief. Hope you feel better soon Flowers

I went for a viability scan yesterday at 6w+6 and it was so lovely to see a little peanut and a heartbeat. Measuring 8.15mm and 6w5d so pretty much as it should be.
I want to be ecstatic and overjoyed but trying to hold back until NIPT and 12w scan. It's still so scary.

IVFAlone · 09/11/2023 13:54

@WhatTheFudge0 thats fantastic news yay! Not be little miss negative but for me, I’m not sure the fear will completely go until I have the baby in my arms but hoping as things progress it will get easier. We all deserve the joy, excitement and happiness of pregnancy ❤️ x
