Any NUB-specialists that want to have a look at my 12weeks+2days scan and give me their prediction?

Thank you all! At first we 100% thought it was a girl and now we are second guessing🙈
I tend to get more girl responses. We did our NIPT yesterday but ofcourse we are to eager to know😅

@Cr2370 I got all girl guesses on mine I made a thread as well and it was defos a boy at 16 weeks we found out last weekend I’ll attach mine so you can see how similar it is lol.

@Louellie19 omg I see the resemblance indeed! I find these "fork-nubs" always hard to read.
Given your scan I would have probably guessed girl as well, but as it seems, I might just want to hold off shopping for baby's wardrobe just yet 😅

@Louellie19 That's so interesting! I guess it just goes to show that nub theory = load of rubbish. I read the other day that apparently it's right 40% to 60% of the time... so no better than guessing then!

@Cr2370 thank you it’s our 3rd little boy 💙😂 I couldn’t see a nub when I had my 1st 2 but it just goes to show it’s not very accurate!

@preggo39 I know! Everything online pointed to girl 110% is a boy 😂 I wouldn’t trust the theory.

Forked nubs are often mistaken for girl nuns, they’re actually underdeveloped nubs, so could still go either way. If you know what you’re looking at and you are the correct gestation (at least 12+5) it’s actually more like 80%-90% accurate. There’s a lot of Facebook groups that’s do nub theory and are incredibly accurate

@PickledScrump Ah, interesting. Everyone guessed girl for me but I was 12 weeks exactly so I think the nub was undeveloped. (I'm only 14 weeks now so still don't know.)

@preggo39 yeah all nub look girly early on, so if your before 12+5 and it’s straight I’d say it could still go either way. Especially if they are forked. I’m on a few facebook groups and the admins are really good at it, they have an incredibly high accuracy. Sometimes I can’t even see the nub but they can.

@Cr2370 just put in nub theory and go for the biggest ones is what I did. Think there’s nub theory queens and strictly nub theory are the two biggest ones.

Just for reference for people (I’m no expert) but my baby I unfortunately lost last year and the baby I’m pregnant with now both girls I was right with both using nub theory
