40+5- Have had mucus plug/ bloody show and now FEVERISH 🥵

Hey all,

A worn down mama here. Past few days I’ve been losing my mucus plug and bloody show and today I’ve woke up with the chills, insane back pain and irregular cramps. But mostly my body feels beat. I was nauseous but that subsided.

Could this be signs labour is close or just weather change?

I would say sounds like labour same thing happened to me mine came away over 24hours with mild cramps then it all went quite quickly after that! Good luck x

Oh I really hope you’re right. I keep telling myself it’s all purposeful but if it’s just a common cold I’m gonna be so shattered for the real thing when it does happen.

It’s just strange I have no sniffles, or sinus aches or throat issues. I just feel beat on the body. I have hardly slept an hour for the past 2 nights. I’m hoping something does happen soon as beginning to lose motivation:(

have You checked your temp? You’re not losing any amniotic fluid or anything that looks like a darkish brown? You could phone up triage explain to them what’s happening and they’ll check to see if your dilated etc

Yeah my partner has been checking my temp and BP regularly today and all is coming back normal. I had a sweep Tuesday and my waters were bulging but I’ve not had any leaks, just a bloody show.

Luckily I am at the hospital tomorrow for a growth scan as I have had extra water throughout the pregnancy but will mention it to them as well

The back pain and cramps sound like early stages - I wouldn’t be surprised if you were in labour by the time you go to hospital tomorrow! Try and get some rest while you can, and good luck with it all. I was overdue with both mine and I remember the fed up feeling.

Aw that’s good! Well fingers crossed you will be in labour by tomorrow. With my 1st I had mild cramps turned over in bed during the night and my waters broke 😂 that was a fun mess! Lol But sounds like you are just about there! x

They are early, the monitor they hooked me
up on showed that I’m definitely contracting but no signs of active labour yet so back on the ball at home!

Sounds like quite the night but to be honest I wouldn’t mind it haha! I get up every night hoping my waters have gone and nope just another trip to the loo

I felt like this after having a sweep, I woke up feeling all achey. Stayed in bed all that day and my waters broke that night.

Might be the start of labour for you.

I can totally relate to the achey! I had a second sweep today whilst at the hospital. Let’s see what tomorrow brings fingers and toes crossed! X
