abruption, vasa previa and vci in previous pregnancy - advice?

I had an appointment today to see a consultant about my previous pregnancy, but ended up seeing the registrar instead. It turns out that not only did I in that pregnancy have vasa previa and velamentous cord insertion but they also say now that my placenta abrupted. I ended up with an emergency c-section as I had a huge bleed after my waters broke.

I've now been offered a scan with the consultant at 28 weeks to check if I have vasa previa and vci again, but was told they couldn't say for sure. I quite had my heart set on a normal delivery but now I'm starting to wonder if a c-section wouldn't be safer and give me peace of mind that all this wouldn't happen again?

Does anyone have any advice? I feel that I really don't know much about placental abruption and the chances of it happening again.
