hi,
mum new to this so bare with me.
I had an ectopic pregnancy in 2017 and gave birth in 2019 to a healthy baby boy!
I found out on 2nd September I was pregnant again. Due to my ectopic, I went for an early scan today. Im not sure when my last period was so im unsure how far gone I am.
during the scan, it showed a sac with what she described as a ‘tad pole’ but also showed a bleed. Im don’t having any vaginal bleeding or any cramps.
has anyone else experienced this?
im due to go back in 2 weeks for another scan

thankyou!

Hiya,
Congratulations!
I had an early scan at 7 weeks and had something similar, it's called a subchorionic haemorrhage I think. Basically a bruise in your uterus, they're really common (my bff had the same) and it should just go away on its own. Most people don't know as its usually gone by your first NHS scan.
I'm surprised they didn't tell you this at the clinic, mine had leaflets and talked me though it all.
I wouldn't worry too much, but maybe pick somewhere else for your next appointment, they don't sound very helpful! Xx

They never told me anything nor did they explained anything, all they said was it looked like a bleed and gave me a leaflet called ‘bleeding in early pregnancy, threatened miscarriage’.
so as you can imagine my mind has been everywhere today!
i did state with them I wasn’t sure how far gone I was so they said come back in two weeks for a scan. I thought they’d at least check hcg levels or something!
