tooth in fection during pregnancy

ok so here is my daily worry , i am 17 weeks pregnant and have a huge hole in my tooth that i am seeing the dentist for in 2 days , my wory is that my neck hurts and i know it could nbe infection which could harm the beby , i have gone into panic overload! any advice or reasurance help fullx

anyone?

I had tooth infection in pregnancy. Dentist gave me antibiotics which did the trick - there is an antibiotic that you can take safely in pregnancy. It's very hard not to worry when you are pregnant but very likely it is just your tooth. Have a chat with your midwife if you are worried.

thankyou mum , i rang the doc as i was doing my nut in and he said not to worry just as k the dentists advice .

Try not to worry. I had tooth problems in both pregnancies, and took antibiotics for them, it's Ok, if you have a tooth infection it will not harm the baby xx

Just to say I had an abcess during my last pregnancy and was given antibiotics, the dentist also attepmted to take my tooth out which took 2 1/2 hours and he still couldn't get it out!

I had a couple more courses of antibiotics during the pregnanacy as the infection kept on coming back.

I had antibiotics for an ear infection while in early stages of pregnancy (i.e before 12 weeks which is apparently when you should restrict medication the most as the baby's organs are forming) and was told by doctor that they were perfectly safe and no risk at all. Can't remember which ones they were but they did they trick!
