False positive? Need some advice.

Been trying to conceive for 2 years now. On Sunday morning took a Clear blue pregnancy test which was negative then by Monday morning had a faint line as seen in picture. Any tests I’ve taken since have been negative and AF hasn’t come. Could this be an evaporation line? Anyone had any false negatives with clear blue tests? Advice needed. TIA

These tests are the worst you can find. They should stop selling them. They always have a line, regardless if you are pregnant or not. Try a FirstResponse, they are the best and no evap line.

Perhaps retest with a different brand. I found the easy@home tests really reliable - never had an evap line on those, also much cheaper which is a plus. I have seen a few people on here have a problem with clear blue. Fingers crossed you get your positive soon :)

Ugh I hate the line eyes! I've been trying 2 years also!! Tough road.. when are you due your period? Boots do a pretty good 4 days early tests, pink dye like the 1st response but quarter of the price

Period was due on Sunday but can be a bit irregular. I’m going to get the first response test later on today and try it.

clear blue are so bad for these, there’s loads of posts about them. First response have been discontinued but the next best are boots early results.

@Joanne2016 there might be something but the test looks flooded so do another one

So I’m one day late and I happen to have one extra test my boyfriend is a little concerned every month if I’m a day or two late to ease his mind I told him I would take this test and I’m very confused because at first it looked negative and just after five minutes half of a positive line showed up it was only five minutes I’m generally confused. I know only taking another one will tell but what are your thoughts on this?
Sidenote, I thought it was completely freaking. Ironic that I got my nails done the same color as a clear blue test without even knowing. 🙄🙄🙄🫠

It’s an evaporation line. You can’t read tests after a certain time anyway

How long after is too long I feel like five minutes wasn’t very long. I get if it was sitting there like for hours or something, but I don’t know. I was going to send it to him for clarification that I wasn’t but I know that’s not gonna do justice for him lol
