Hip/back pain. Normal?

16 weeks pregnant. And hips/lower back are both aching? Is this normal?

I carried a 10lbs9oz baby 10 years ago and wondering if he damaged them.

Should they be sore this early?

@snoopy18 have you found anything that eases it?

It can happen early on. Go to an osteopath or physio, a massage might help or support belt or some stretches or exercises depending on what the issue is.

I have seen my wife in this situation and it is completely normal to have hip or back pain. However, the best thing you can do is to consult with your doctor to be on the safe side.

I’ve started pregnancy yoga just YouTube videos and getting in as much walking as possible to help build lower body / back strength. It helped me a lot in first pregnancy too even though I was working out a lot etc. Suppose it’s everything relaxing & adapting & changing in the body. Feeling a difference last few days already from the yoga. Pregnancy massage is great too! You can speak to GP / midwife too they may be able to refer you for help & get double checked.
