Gender help -19 week 2 days

Hi,

Am confused about my gender scan. The tech wasn't 100% sure what i was having and did say girl then boy. She did this for ages. Can you help me. What do you think am having?

Was it a gender scan or your NHS scan? If it's a sex scan you paid for I'd go back and ask for another one so they can confirm the baby's sex for you.

I paid for scan to find out the sex of baby. The tech said this is the best she can do and said its never 100% guaranteed.
But i can't even tell in the picture, what it is. I already have a daughter and son and it doesnt look like any of there scans.

That's really bad, they should invite you back for free or something to get a clearer picture

Presumably you'll be having your 20 week scan soon anyway?

Yea i have 21 week scan soon but i just need to know what am having and tell the kids. I asked for my money back but they said no.

Well you’re having a baby, tell them that - it’s impossible to be 100% on the sex. And it doesn’t matter

I can't even tell what end of the baby that is sorry.

These threads wind me up…most places you book call it a gender scan. I don’t think the OP came here for the righteous crew to correct them on ‘sex’ scan 🙄

if I’m looking correctly I would say girl after comparing it to my 16 week scan of boy

If you can be bothered you could harass them on social media until they give you a refund.

Annoys me when people say ‘ it’s a baby, it doesn’t matter’ . Yes what is important is that baby is healthy of course, but if anyone wants to find out gender or sex, it’s completely up to them and a personal decision.

I myself am going to ask at my next scan what the gender is. Of course it doesn’t matter, it will be loved either way but some people have to know and I am one of them .

But @Jacki001 they definitely should have invited you back if they weren’t 100%, they do that at the places I’ve heard of around me. I would not be happy paying all that money and not having an answer x

I mean I think it is an absolute waste of time and money paying for a private "gender scan" at 19 weeks when you can find out what you're having at your free NHS scan in a couple of weeks.

But if they are going to take your money they should either give you a clear answer or invite you back to redo the scan.

@MargotBamborough it’s not your time or money though so why should you care.

I am waiting until my nhs anomaly to ask but if someone wants an earlier one no matter how much earlier then it’s up to them it’s their body/money/time.

Absolutely OP, it's not how I would choose to spend my money when you will find out really soon anyway, but if you have paid for a service they should at least try in good faith to provide it. That picture is ridiculously blurry.

Well it's a boy or girl and hopefully healthy, wait until the birth, you'll know for sure then! It's a wonderful moment finding out at the birth, I looked for myself each time, adds to the excitement (not that sex matters!).

@CosyNightsOnTheSofa thats YOUR opinion, but not at all what the OP is asking. She WANTS to know the sex NOW. Not in 20 weeks.

You can't tell from this angle. It has to be a potty shot, your angle only works for nub theory this does not apply at your gestation.
