GTT Test - 2 hours?

I had my second GTT testing during this pregnancy. First was normal but I have a big baby so I had to do a second one yesterday.

It’s my understanding the second blood test should be 2 hours after you finish the glucose drink. However, they took the second sample only 1h40mins after. I raised it and the phlebotomist said it’s only 5 minutes early and it’s fine, but even then, the 5 mins early would have been from when I checked in.

I’m now worried the result won’t be accurate as they won’t have waited the full two hours for my system to process the sugar.

Has this happened to anyone?

I should have been more assertive but I was 20 minutes late for the appointment and was glad she squeezed me in so I didn’t want to seem difficult. I had stupidly left my maternity booklet at home so had to turn around and get it when I was on my way to the hospital, and she was really understanding of that and still saw me.
