itchy rash at 11 weeks - anything to worry about?

I've noticed it's been a bit itchy with a few small spots on my midrif for the last few days, maybe even a week. This morning I noticed in the shower that I've got quite a noticable rash on both sides, about 20cm by 10cm.

Normally I wouldn't be that bothered but it occured to me that should I be more concerned considering I'm pregnant? It won't be easy for me to get to the emergency doctors until Friday because of work (and an appointment takes 1.5 weeks!) and I though one of you might know if I should do something before that.

Thanks

Is it possible for you to ring GP (we can get a call back the same day)? Or even ring the midwife? I had a rash on legs, arms and tum but not til 6months and was prescribed Piriton. May be nothing to worry, may even be reaction to new shower gel/ wash powder etc. Worth a phone call to put your mind at rest. Good luck x

I have ichy patches all over the place at the moment and its basically like mild ecsama (sp?) - I used to have it when I was a kid and my pregnancy has basically made it rear its ugly head again.

It could be just that you have patches of dry skin so you could try E45 on it and if that doesnt help ask your GP for a creme that is safe in pregnancy. At the moment thats what I'm using and my GP said that when it isnt too bad to use E45 instead...the creme works really well and I tend to only need to use it a couple of times to get the problem under control

Hope that helps

Thanks, I had eczema when I was a kid as well. I'll try the E45 and see if it improves.
