Hi, hopefully I'm posting in the correct place as this is my first post.
I'm wondering if anyone who has experienced bleeding during early pregnancy can tell me about their experience. How heavy + if the pregnancy was/is okay
Reason: I started off bleeding every time I had sex (pink/red) which lead me to go to the doctor. She did a precautionary pregnancy test which showed I'm pregnant so I went to the hospital as we had no idea how far along I'd be. Once there I had an examination and blood test, after this I started spotting brown blood and having pain primarily on my right side but also left side. The blood wasn't enough to need a pad but it was every day now and there most times I wiped. I called the epu but they said my hcg levels were higher than you'd expect for an ectopic pregnancy so wait until my scan which was Tuesday. On Tuesday I felt a sharp pain on my right side as I was walking to my scan and about 15mins later started bleeding (red). I was bleeding a fair bit and when I went to provide a urine sample I passed a very large clot (slightly bigger than a plum). I was convinced I'd miscarried but when I had the scan it showed baby there (approx 7 weeks) with a heartbeat, and the doctor said she can't see a reason for the bleeding. I'm having another scan in 2 weeks due to my bleeding and was told to come in if it became very heavy or I passed a blood clot even bigger than the one in the hospital. Since the blood clot the blood stopped within an hour but I'm back to occasional brown blood. Today i had a few small-ish brown stringy blood clots. The pain has continued (no worse than before scan) and I've developed like a deep ache in my groin area.
I did bleed from about 5-7weeks with my son 7yrs ago but it was nothing like this. It was pink spotting/ occasional red that was very light and I had no pain or clots.
Since there's nothing i can do but wait I'd like to know if anyone has had a similar experience and if the pregnancy was okay or had problems/miscarried. TIA
