Sickness at 12 weeks

Hey Everyone!

just after some advice/other people’s experiences really. Since 6 weeks I’ve been constantly nauseous but only started actually throwing up since 9 weeks but it was about once a day and after that I would just feel constantly nauseous again. However for last few days (I’m now 12 weeks) I’ve been really sick (I was sick 5 times yesterday ) and already been sick today and it’s only 8am! Has any body experienced increasing morning sickness at 12 weeks? I do have a cold, which I’ve had for 3 days now, so maybe that’s making me feel more sick because I am bunged up etc? I’m abut worries about the increase in sickness!
my other symptoms are I think normal:

  • tender breasts
  • tiredness
  • slight increase in discharge
  • headaches on and off
  • slight cramping every now and again

am I correct in thinking that a cold without a temperature etc is alright for the baby? I’m so scared for them 😞 I did have a scan at 6 weeks and 9 weeks due to some slight brown spotting and baby was fine at both times. I’m just so worried and scared for my dating ultrasound next Monday 😪

Hiya

I had morning sickness from 6 weeks to began throwing up around 8 weeks once sometimes twice a day. I got to 12 weeks and it began to be 3 times a day and if I wasn’t being sick I just felt sick all day
I was living of an apple, water and a cereal bar a day for weeks.
When it got to 12 weeks and I was being sick 3 times a day I rang the doctors for help they prescribed me anti sickness but they also did a urine sample and I was dehydrated so ended up going to hospital to have a iv drip so I would defo get in touch with your doctors to check ur not dehydrated because I didn’t think I would be ❤️

im 17 weeks now the tablets stopped me being sick but I do still get nauseous but it’s loads better so defo get help it’s worth it ❤️

I feel for you!

I was sick both pregnancies at least up to 20 weeks. It might be all the snot (sorry!), even not pregnant I sometimes feel nauseous with a cold, and in my pregnancies anything that would make me feel even the tiniest bit queasy normally made me sick.

In my second pregnancy I had a toddler attending childcare, I think I ended up with about 4 or 5 colds over the whole pregnancy. Baby was fine.

See your doctor if you can't keep anything down or if you feel really ill. Feel better x

Thank you both for your replies. I’m sorry you both felt so sick it can be so draining can’t it?!

I’ll be honest I haven’t kept much food down in the last few days but I’ve been drinking loads to get rid of the cold and I have managed to keep most of the drink down which I’m happy about so hopefully not too dehydrated. I’ll keep an eye on how it goes over the next few days and call my GP if it Carry’s on like this!
