What could this be? ( + a sprinkle of TMI, sorry!)

I’m after your advice…

I have a short luteal phase. I normally ovulate around day 18/19 and have a 28/29 day cycle. We are TTC after a miscarriage last year, my only pregnancy.

We have since discovered my husbands sperm needs a bit of help, and I expect my LP could do with it too. We are waiting for an appointment from the fertility clinic.

Yesterday was day 29 for me. AF normally arrives overnight and so although I had no bleeding yesterday, I had a feeling like I was about to come on all day. Last night in the evening I had a feeling I had come on and went to the toilet, I had immediate bright red blood. Normally I start off v light and it builds but this almost felt like day 2 period and I never start my period in the evening.

Annnyyyyway…today all I’ve had is brown blood - similar to the very end of your period.

I’ve also had this weird tugging feeling internally for a few days. Which I have had before and haven’t been pregnant but it also reminds me of the pain I had when I was having a miscarriage last year.

Out of curiosity I took a cheap test this afternoon because this is a really odd period so far. I have a very faint line which could very much be an evap line. (Photos in different lights attached)

Have you had anything similar? And if so, how did it turn out for you?

Ahh so you think the bleed could have been implantation? That line is certainly there. I'd test daily from now to see if the line progressively gets darker.

Thank you @YewTree84 - it's the weird start to my period that's throwing me. Is it possible to have implantation bleeding at this point? (I'm guessing I would have been day 10 or 11 dpo yesterday)

Yes, up to 12DPO I believe. I'm actually 12DPO myself today, due AF on Friday.

Hi OP! I had very similar last year.. had been TTC for a while, my cycles were irregular and DH’s sperm count not the best. But last April I had dark brown blood for 2 days at around the same point (basically the blood was whenever I wiped), which I assumed was the start of my period. When it stopped and actual AF didn’t arrive I decided to test and I had a faint line. My baby girl is now 8 months old!

I can see a faint line on yours, so maybe try again tomorrow/day after to check progression. Keeping everything crossed for the same for you. Xx

I woke up at 3am and my boobs were killing me, just like when I was pregnant this time last year. Which set my brain whirring. I also had this weird feeling yesterday which I can only describe as 'I want to feel cozy' - it's an odd feeling but it's the only early pregnancy symptom I remember from last year. I know it sounds strange but I don't know how to describe it any other way. I just remember both of these things vividly.

Three digital tests this morning and it says I'm pregnant (!) I had a funny feeling when I woke up in the night that this might be the case. But believe me, I've also spent months thinking I would never see those words again, or driven myself mad symptom spotting.

It's a long road ahead, but I really hope we make it this time.
