Tips for sleeping?

I'm nearly 19 weeks and not sleeping well at all cause I just can't get comfy! I can get to sleep ok (on my side) but I keep waking up in the night with tight buttocks and sore hips. I've tired having a pillow between my legs which sometimes helps and sometimes doesn't. Before I was pregnant I was a serial tummy sleeper and this was my go to position but obviously I can't sleep on my tummy now.

Should I just get used to the sleepless nights now?!

Have you tried a pregnancy pillow?
Mine was a life saver when I was pregnant with ds, much more padded than a normal pillow and it helps take the pressure off your hips for side sleeping

@Caledoniablue I do have a full body length pillow which I sometimes use but its not a proper pregnancy pillow as such. I think I made a mistake buying it as its a bit too big! I've been thinking about getting one of those ones you sleep in the middle of tummy and back support?

Try a proper U shaped one, they definitely give you better support, I loved mine was devastated when dh made me stop using it... it did take up half the bed though!
Hope it helps you Grin

Definitely get a u shaped pregnancy pillow. My one had a small section that zipped off which was handy once baby was here and I used it as a feeding pillow for a while.
I had a long pregnancy pillow and it just wasn't great.
My u shaped one was an Amazon buy, about £50/60 I spent on it and definitely worth the money

Try adjusting your positioning - I thought I was supposed to have the pillow (I'm just using a normal soft pillow) between my legs, which occasionally worked, but you're supposed to have one leg in front of the pillow and the other one over it (so if lying on your left side , have your left leg aligned with the pillow and your right knee over the pillow, pretty much touching the mattress). So you're almost lying on part of your bump but that's how it's apparently supposed to be used. It helped me massively with my hip soreness. Hope it gets better soon x
