My daughter is 15 weeks pregnant with her first child and had a scan 2 weeks ago and everything was fine. Has been having a stabbing pain below small bump for a few days but kept her awake last night. Went to midwife this morning who listened to heartbeat and was not undully concerned. Midwife seemed to think it could just be 'growing pains' Is this normal or should we be worried?

Normal

I'm 34 weeks pg with my third and have had these almost throughout each time.

Its normal, don't worry. Its literally just the ligaments stretching as her womb gets bigger.

15-17wks is a perfectly normal time to experience it.

Thanks was really worried. Daughter taken to her bed as she has been overdoing it in the last week or so , so she is having a couple of days off and resting. I am just a worrier as had her at 29 weeks 25 years ago and had a terrible time. Just a worried first time gran. Thanks
