Hey, just got a positive test today.
Had 2 losses last year, one being a suspected ectopic. The nurse back then told me next time I get a positive im to go straight in to be checked. According to dates I would be about 5 weeks right now, how early can they scan and see something. Would be crushed to go in things are fine but they can't see anything simply because it's so early

I wouldn’t advise going for a scan before 7 weeks as they may not be able to detect the heartbeat before that and it would probably make you more anxious. I had a MC in May but didn’t find out until first scan at 13 weeks. This time we went for one at 7 weeks and planning to go again for one at 10 weeks for peace of mind.

I had an ectopic and an early miscarriage contacted epu at my next positive and they booked me in for 6 weeks. Prior to this they are unlikely to he able to see anything at all. Ring them and ask.

I'd try to hold until 7 weeks - should see heartbeat etc even if a few days behind when you think.

best of luck xxx

Congratulations on your pregnancy and I’m sorry to hear about your losses :( I just want to give you some positivity and hope. I lost last year at 23+5 and I’m now pregnant again now almost 20 weeks, so you can do through a previous loss and things go well. I am also terrified of something going wrong but so far so good. I had an early scan at 8 weeks it was abdominal I’ll put the pic below. If you’re really concerned you could see about a vaginal scan as they may be able to see implantation. I wish you all the best you are never alone ❤️
