On the 19th of October. So AGES to go yet! Time is passing really slowly. I'm sure you remember it, my first ultrasound scan isn't until April which seems like an eternity.

lionbeast · 04/03/2008 21:01

oh yeah, a day felt like a week when i was pregnant, then as you know when the babys here a day seems like a second!

at least we are in march now anyway ! lol

are you under the care of a midwife yet or a consultant?
how old is your lo now?

DD is 16 months. So still a baby herself. If it hadn't been for my age I think I would have waited a while to have another, to be honest.
At the moment I'm under the care of the MW (although I haven't seen her yet!). I'll have a big appointment with her when I'm 10 weeks to get me checked into the system. When I originally went to my GP to tell him about the pregnancy I asked about an appointment with my gynae to discuss birth options, but he felt that it would be fine for the MW to sort all that stuff out. So I hope she's sympathetic!

lionbeast · 05/03/2008 09:15

oh im sure the midwife will be sympathetic, she better be, otherwise ill pop round and bosh her one ! lol
but seriously im sure she will be.
it seems ages until you see the midwife doesnt it, i remember when i 1st found out i was pg i phoned the drs expecting to be told to come in for a test and a good check over, but nothing, come in, in 12 weeks, 12weeks! thats a lifetime away !
are you feling well in yourself at the moment? hopefully your not feeling too sick or anything?

at least your due this year! i always think its funny when a pregnancy spans over 2 years, like if you get pg in sept but have the baby in june, and its like oh im having a baby next year! sounds even further away!

be lovely for your lo's to be close in age hopefully they will be great friends

DH was keen to have two close together. His Mum had a miscarriage in between her children and I think he felt the age gap growing up. In fact, he was hoping that I would have twins last time round! It was a distinct possibility, and I was very relieved to only see one baby on the early scan. I was huge enough with DD, and tired enough in the early months!

I'm feeling really sick, but that's par for the course for me. I started feeling a bit better at 20 weeks last time, which seems like FOREVER away. I'm healthy though, which is the main thing.

Do you ever think that you'd like another DB?

lionbeast · 05/03/2008 10:15

well at the moment im more than happy having dd, but i really really love babies now!
i used to think i prefered kids to babys although i always liked babys before, but now i find them really interesting.

before i had dd, a baby was the one thing in the whole world i really wanted, so maybe ill feel that way again when dd is older.i think ill miss terribly when she starts school. i don't think ill go for another unless my desire for another is that strong.
and to be totally honest im quite terrified after last time too. although hopefully i will get over that in time

is there a chance for twins this time ? oh i forgot about the tirdeness. i think its much more tiring being pregnant than having a newborn imo.
