Overthinking

So I am pregnant and worn as a teacher. Recently I have been overthinking about work related things more than usual. Like silly things sometimes like that another teach has been talking about me or that an email has been sent out to everyone and thinking it's a dig at me. I wanted to know if other pregnant women think overthink when pregnant? Or am I not overthinking and maybe these things are going on.

If you can imagine any symptom at all, it's a pregnancy sympton. Honestly, I was so weird when I was pregnant, every day was a new sensation or emotion!

I think you're probably just being pregnancy paranoid 🙂 and if not, screw them, soon you'll have a beautiful baby and they will still be idiots.

I’m a teacher too and I was talking to someone about this today. I worry about work generally but I think when you couple it with struggling to sleep it makes the over thinking worse even thought he issue hasn’t changed if that makes sense.

Also because with teaching you’re on the go all the time and constantly putting on a show you don’t really have time to yourself to reflect and rationalise in the day so I think about it all at night!

I do agree with the above post, there are all kinds of emotions going on. I cried at a quiz show today….seriously!

Yes I fee so emotional all the time. Like the other day someone made a comment about my old class and I took it personally like it was my fault. Then after I was thinking, did they mean it as in it was my fault or was it just something about the class. I do think hormones are all over the place at the moment.

I honestly think turned abit on nuts when I was pregnant the first time. Came up with all sorts of paranoid situations I was convinced we're going on. I laugh now but genuinely believed it when pregnant.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking like this then. It's so frustrating as you just don't know if you are overthinking or if something is going on behind your back🤦‍♀️

To be honest teaching is one of those jobs you never feel good enough anyway! You will take it personally because you have pride in your work and you care. However what’s hard for us teachers to accept is ultimately it is just a job. When you’re pregnant of course you still care about work but you need to try and see it as not the most important thing…I’m struggling with it myself!

I couldn't agree with this anymore!!! Like I do work till about 8:30 every evening but always think about school until I go to bed. Then I wake up in the middle of the night worrying about school. It's made me thinking if this is sustainable and if it's still enjoyable, it's all take the enjoyment of the teaching.
