Any midwives able to help! (Or anyone in the know about WBC count figures)

I’m 37+3 and have had an ongoing UTI for over 9 weeks which doesn’t seem to be improving with antibiotics (now on my 4th course plus have low dose to take for 3 weeks when I’ve finished current course)

What I’d like help with is understanding what is “normal” and “high” for the white blood cell count as when I search online they don’t really add up to what I’m seeing.

My most recent readings for WBC are:

238
603
358
1098

These have all been classed as “high” but when I look online it shows “normal” as 4500 - 11,000 which makes my results extremely low. I’m assuming a different scale is being used so I’d like to try and understand what normal/high are on the scale the midwives are using!!

Thanks, and sorry for a boring post!

I suspect you’re looking at results/ranges with different units.

@Greybeardy yes that’s what I’m assuming so trying to find the units they’re using as I can’t find anything online that fits
