Is this normal?

I was diagnosed with a chest infection on Fri after having 3 weeks of a cough (I thought it was linked to my heartburn).

I’ve been on cefalexin for since Friday now and since yesterday have been hacking up this phlegm when I cough - do I need to go back to the docs or is this normal? Thank you.

I would think the phlegm was what was sitting on your chest and your body is now clearing it.

Nurse- completely normal! Your body is just clearing everything out. If you can feel it moving when you cough, try and get it out instead of swallowing (as gross as that sounds)
