Severe sickness

Hey,

I'm 9.5 weeks pregnant an 2nd pregnancy and finding it's so much worse. I've been signed off with HG, anti sickness sometimes is working however, the majority of the time, not!

I have been in bed for the past 3 weeks pretty much, so feeling pretty low as normally on the go constantly.

I'm aware of what is 'normal' pregnancy symptoms, this is flooring me. Anyone else had the same? I've got a daughter and had bad sickness until 17 weeks but nowhere near as bad as this.

Yeah I was the same this pregnancy. Way more intense than first pregnancy and bed bound hg.I’m 14 weeks today & last 2 days or so I am feeling a huge difference.The last 2 weeks things shifted day by day. Rest as much as you can & stay hydrated even if you are just sipping water instead of drinking. Hang in there it is so hard.

Speak to your GP about other anti nausea meds to see if something else suits you better.

Thanks so much, I'm on the 4th one. I'm on Xonvea now, which worked the 1st day then back to severe vomiting and nausea the day after. I need to get my bloods checked as I just feel absolutely awful in general. Did you find any AS that worked?

Sorry the meds are not working. If you are vomitting a lot and can’t keep anything down it’s worth going to hospital as you may be dehydrated too. Cyclazine was the first one they gave me - it helped take the edge off but I was falling asleep / couldn’t drive etc.Only 5 days or so and needed to change it. Metoclopramide is what I have now which has helped a lot on the worse days.I’ve not felt like I need any last 2 days but have them on backup incase it sets off again. Definately get your blood done incase there’s a deficiency making it worse too. I hope you feel better soon OP it’s hard
