I'm 4+6, I found out at 3+5 and ever since 3+6 I've been getting cramps. I have a lot of symptoms but the cramps are worrying me! Is this normal? I have my first scan booked in for the 3rd October but I'm so worried about losing the bean🥺

@CAGH03 the emotions are a whole new level aren't they! Be kind to yourself. You're not as alone as you think.

The women on mumsnet will have your back if nothing else xxx

I know I'm not alone, it just feels a lot more lonely than I ever imagined 🥹x

@Puddle13 this is really reassuring, Thankyou. As a first time pregnancy, I am extremely anxious all the time and I also feel very out of control almost 24/7 when it comes to how I feel. I am so so happy and excited I'm pregnant, and I know I should be happy about it, which i am, but it's so difficult to stay that way when my emotions are all over the place. I've cried three times this morning, within half an hour. I'm at work now so I can focus on something else, but it's definitely not easy🤍

@Olika I take an all in one vitamin, that has everything I need, including folic acid and vitamin d x

Yer I totally get that. I have to say I haven’t really loved the experience of being pregnant thus far. I’m very excited about my baby and what is to come but the emotions and the physical symptoms of pregnancy thus far have been pretty Shit. Someone said to me about pregnancy: you can love the end result but not the process. I think that’s where I’ve been at. So I totally understand.

I completely agree with this!! I think if there hadn’t have been a miscarriage on the previous pregnancy, I might have been able to enjoy it more. But the worry for me is the main issue and then constantly over worrying about every twinge or cramp! Maybe it’ll get better towards the end- but in the meantime I’m glad that I’m not alone! 😂

It's so a hard few months. I remember feeling really lonely when I was pregnant with my son! This time I've told a fair few people 😅

I barely had any symptoms the first time round, but this time it's been SO difficult. 🤮 The emotions are normal, the sickness is normal. But it will ease. You've got this mama 💪🏻

I'm hoping the loneliness disappears once we tell people, but that won't be until after my first scan on the 3rd October so still have 4 weeks until I can tell anyone 😩 only my mum and fiancé know and it's so difficult not to tell people 🥹x

@CAGH03 Do you have one friend you could trust? Just so you have a wider support system? Xx

Puddle13 · 04/09/2023 16:32

@CAGH03 @LeopardLover
I would second what you are saying. I told 2 of my best friends as I just need more of a support network than just my fiancé and my mum.

My mum and best friend know too, but I still feel very lonely as I don't see them often. See my mum maybe once a month and my best friend once every few months. I pretty much go to work and then come home to my partner x
