Can anyone relate? 6 weeks pregnant, brown spotting? Old blood maybe?

Hi all, I am 6 weeks pregnant, and I recently started having sporadic brown spotting (looks like old blood). It is only when I wipe, and it is only a few times a day that it shows up. It has been going on for three days now on and off. I have no pain. Anyone else experience something like this or similar?

I had this in my second pregnancy. It was a type of miscarriage called a Hydaditiform mole.
Do you feel excessive sickness or tiredness?

I had this at 6 weeks, went for a scan and everything was fine. Went on to deliver a healthy baby. Would get it checked for reassurance

I had this both pregnancies - daily from c 6-11 weeks. Those pregnancies are now 9 and 13 years old. Think it's actually really common.

I had this in my first pregnancy though never much blood. A couple of days at 7ish weeks and brown blood.

Had a scan for reassurance, she's 12 now.

Really hope all OK xx

Bleeding is super common in early pregnancy. It's usually only cause for concern if it's bright red blood and/or accompanied with pain.

You can call epu to see if they will give you a reassurance scan, but you likely won't be able to see much at this stage

This happened to me at about 8 weeks and I freaked out. I had some brown spotting but I even had some bright red fresh blood. Went on for a few days but I was abroad. Called doctors when I got back a few days later.
Doctors did want to see me but didn't find any issues. I'm now 37 weeks pregnant and doing okay :)

I had this in my first pregnancy and like the first reply it was a molar pregnancy. I went in to the clinic after the first bit of dark/brown spotting and a blood test showed elevated hormone levels. A subsequent scan confirmed the molar pregnancy.

I had it in my second pregnancy and panicked, went into clinic again and it was all normal, had happy healthy baby.

I had both brown spotting and gushes of red blood in my pregnancy. Never did find out why but baby was always fine. He's 19 months now!

Had this with my 2nd and 3rd pregnancy at 6 weeks but fresh blood both were absolutely fine.

The first time I went to the hospital as I panicked, gave me an internal scan and everything was fine.

2nd time I just let it be whatever happens happens didn't want to get stressed like the last time

I’m in the same situation @harborisland. It’s hard not to worry. I’ve got a scan booked for next week and am hoping everything is ok 🙏

It's hard to say OP, I have brown spotting which meant something bad, and then brown spotting with my perfectly healthy son, so it really could be anything. It is not uncommon to have brown spotting in first trimester.
