Growth scan

Hi all, just looking for people’s experiences please. I’ve just had my 31 week midwife appointment and have been referred for a growth scan, as I’m measuring 1cm more than I was at 28wks. Midwife said she isn’t concerned as I’m tall (5’9) and the baby might be hiding in my long abdomen. Heartbeat and movement are fine.
I’ve got to say I’m a bit shocked as I feel huge and am worried/feel like a failure that she is appearing small.
Has anyone else had a similar experience or experience with growth scans in general? Thank you

I’m a similar height (5’10) and had to have growth scans for the same reason with both my boys! Both were born totally normal size, no issues.
they just have more length to hide!

The measurements aren’t accurate and it’s very common to need a growth scan to check. Most of the time the scans show everything as normal. As the midwife said a lot of the time it’s just the way they are lying
