Hello ladies , this is my first post here so please be easy on me .

I feel slightly broken , I have been TTC for 5 months now and finally got my BFP last week I was so filled with love and joy. Until yesterday I noticed my symptoms had completely gone , then I found blood after using the loo. I have since been bleeding heavily and passing clots so I have since learnt that I have had a chemical I was 4 weeks and 2 days .

my heart hurts I have been looking into maternity , baby clothes and then it’s ripped away from me . I am 31 years of age and now know time is not on my side all I want is my little baby back .

my question is for ladies who too have unfortunately had to go through a chemical , how soon after did you conceive and have a healthy full term pregnancy ? I have spent the past 24 hours on google driving myself insane and feeling numb 😔

I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's heartbreaking.

Everyone is different of course but I fell pregnant again on the next cycle following a chemical and he's now two. And I was a bit older than you.

Don't lose hope, be gentle with yourself.

TTCbaby2023 · 30/08/2023 16:09

I'm sorry to hear this but I would not say that time is not on your side. You're 31, that's still young even to conceive. I am 42 and trying to have my first baby, it's safe to say that time definitely isn't on my side but I haven't lost all hopes yet.
Is this your first chemical? You will more than likely manage to conceive again, don't lose hope.

Candyflosscrochet · 30/08/2023 16:28

Sorry you are experiencing this. I had a mmc then a chemical a few months later. I was contemplating not trying again but fell pregnant the cycle after the chemical and he is now 2.
It's heart breaking I know, but these things happen for a reason.
Good luck xx

I’m so sorry you’ve been through it too. I conceived the following cycle but unfortunately was another chemical and then conceived again the cycle following that (so 3 cycles in a row) and that pregnancy progressed and I’m now holding my healthy 9 day old.

I wouldn’t say at 31 you should be panicking about your age yet. It’s a completely normal age to conceive. I’m 38 and was worried as that is getting closer to being an issue.

log51 · 30/08/2023 18:21

Hi @Lora9x really sorry for your loss. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and conceived the month following my chemical (which was in Dec 22) and it's really common to conceive in the months following!

TealDreams · 30/08/2023 20:07

So sorry to hear this. I had 2 chemicals back to back last year and I'm now 35 weeks pregnant with a very big healthy little girl. Sending you love x

Lora9x · 30/08/2023 20:55

Thank you ladies . Hearing all of your positive stories is helping to put my mind at ease a little , I guess I think where it took me so many months to fall pregnant I’m worried it will be the same again , and again end in a loss .

I have just re ordered myself a big box of ovulation tests ready to start again once the bleeding stops I prey next time is the right time 🤞🌈

Change perspective. You've been very lucky to fall pregnant only after 5 months. Usually it can take up to a year for a normal, healthy couple.

I think you are quite fertile the 3 months following a chemical, so you have high chances to fall pregnant again soon. Cry, vent, but don't be so sad because, unfortunately, this is something that happens a lot more than you think. You will have your baby ❤️❤️❤️

Charlielechat · 30/08/2023 23:42

Sorry to hear of your loss 💓
I conceived again 5 months after my chemical pregnancy. Currently 23 weeks pregnant.

NursePeach90 · 05/09/2023 18:57

I’m so so sorry for your loss! I’m 33 so I understand your panic as I went into a frenzy when I turned 30 (thankfully I had a beautiful daughter when I was 31). But no need to panic as it is young in the TTC community.

I had a chemical pregnancy in June and I felt the distraught, heartbroken and angry at the world. I couldn’t stop crying. I did, however, try again next cycle. I classed the bleeding as a period and took ovulation tests, and I ovulated at day 15. I then got my positive in July. I am now nearly 10 weeks pregnant and I’ve had an early scan. Everything is as it should be at this point. So I wish you all the luck and love in the world. But please be kind to yourself. It is a horrible thing to go through and I even got tearful when I spoke about it today. You will get through this! Xx

I had a chemical Christmas 2021 and fell pregnant again on my second cycle after.

Try not to get too disheartened if it doesn't work first cycle, I was devastated, think I took it worse than the chemical as I'd convinced myself I'd be one of those that got pregnant again right away.

He's 10 months now and I was 38, still plenty of time at 31, it just doesn't feel like that at the moment

PinkyPork · 05/09/2023 19:56

I've had 2 chemicals and 2 full-term healthy babies.

First baby I conceived the first cycle after the chemical and the second was the 3rd cycle after the chemical.

I was 37 and 40.

So sorry for your loss ❤️ I did the same as you and spent so much time googling after my first one. There are lots of positive stories out there ❤️

FTMCHD · 05/09/2023 21:12

Sorry for your loss💕 I conceived the cycle following my chemical pregnancy and I’m now expecting twin girls 💖💖

Houseelf90 · 05/09/2023 21:18

So sorry for your loss, it’s absolutely devastating, I was the same as you, had already looked at maternity clothes, baby things etc. I had a chemical just before 6 weeks in October last year. I got another BFP in December last year but started bleeding 3 days later, another chemical at 4.5 weeks. However, I fell pregnant straight away in the January and am now just over 37 weeks. Am waiting to see if I’m going to be induced so could be meeting my baby very soon - I’ve just packed my hospital bags and they’re by the door ready!
I was so heartbroken with both losses, and wasn’t sure I could go through it again, but I’m so glad we carried on.
I read that you are more fertile following a loss so although I was still upset, I also knew I didn’t want to waste any time trying.
Good luck, sending lots of baby dust to you 💕

Hi ladies, about 3 months ago after a year and half of TTC I fell pregnant, though we had sex only once that month, the day my period was due. However about 6 weeks after that I lost the pregnancy. I was just wondering if anybody had anything similar or if maybe when I fell pregnant being so close to when my period was due contributed to the early loss? Thanks
