Hi, first time mum here, I'm 39+2 today, I've got a bicornuate uterus and my baby is breech so my pregnancy is classed as high risk. I've got a section booked for the 6th Sept (40+2) however, I've had like a bruise like pain just under my right ribs for a couple weeks, pain was manageable however its gotten worse over the last couple of days, it hurts to touch, it hurts when i sit, I can't lay on my right side and it still hurts even when I'm not wearing a bra, my breasts aren't even that big for them to be an issue. Its not so bad in a morning but as the day goes on it gets worse, I couldn't sleep till 3am last night bc of the pain.
Anyway I rang midwives today, she told me to ring triage, triage was closed (weird as it was 10.30am, on a Wednesday) so I rang maternity ward direct, they transferred me to delivery and all she said was take paracetamol and have a bath, I told her I have a bath everyday and paracetamol doesn't touch the pain and said it's probably bc baby is breech. However bc of my uterus shape baby has been in my left horn for months, I've felt kicks in my right but wayyy low down so surely its not that? I rang midwives back and basically told her maternity ward won't see me so she's booked me in at midwives for later on today.
Obviously I'm worried as its my first pregnancy so naturally I googled it and it can be a sign of pre-eclampsia? But it also says high BP is a symptom, I've never had high BP but I have had traces of protein in my urine since about 32 weeks, doctors etc werent concerned, I've had swelling in my feet since 29 weeks but recently it's only in my left foot and gets worse throughout the day even when my feet are up all day but no pain in the swelling. I'm worried there is something wrong that they don't pick up on and something happens at my csection next week.
