I am currently trying to conceive baby number 2.
For my first it was unplanned.

Just wondered if you took supplements to help conceive?

I worry if I take them it may mess up my hormones and cycle.

I was taking Vitamin D anyway. I started taking Folic Acid, but that’s to support baby once pregnant - doesn’t help conception. Otherwise it’s much better to get vitamins from your diet than in supplements

Midwives and fertility specialists advise to take Folic Acid when TTC also, as it is good to keep your levels of Folic Acid up in the event of pregnancy. 3 months before is the usual. Found this NHS guide: https://www.esneft.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Folic-Acid-in-Pregnancy.pdf

I took the Pregnacare conception supplement - it was recommended by my GP, but the main reason for taking it was the folic acid. Theoretically it's full of ingredients that support good reproductive health, but I'm sceptical about how much difference it made!
