Hi All,

I'm 41 and mum to an 18 and 14 year old.

I found out unexpectedly last year I was pregnant. 2 days later I went into unexpected labour and gave birth to our boy sleeping at 20 weeks. It was traumatic, I had to have surgery to remove the placenta and arrange a funeral. Oliver was my partner's first child.

The last few days I've been getting all sorts of symptoms, indigestion, nausea, back ache and gas. I decided on my lunch break to buy a pregnancy incase and the Digital clear blue confirms I'm pregnant.

I'm unsure how to tell my partner, how to do this all over again. Things spiralled so quickly last time. I'm in shock, but excited this could be our time.

Anyone who has been in this situation able to offer some advice, words of wisdom or an ear to listen?

Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry for the loss of your little boy, Oliver is a lovely name Flowers

I'm 39 and have a 15 and 2 year old, and lost a little boy at 16 weeks last year. Was pregnant again quickly but went on to lose that little girl at 15 weeks and then pregnant again in feb this year but it was ectopic.
I'm pregnant again - early, and to be honest, I'm the most relaxed of all the pregnancies. I think when you've faced the trauma of labour for a baby that isn't alive and told your friends and family that your baby has passed - what else can happen?
I think, the only thing we can do is be grateful to have another chance at pregnancy and just take every week, and ever hurdle as it comes.
This week, we have a positive test. Let's see what next week holds for us 💪

Thank you so much for your message.

I'm sorry to hear you have suffered too.

Your mindset and words are just what I needed.

I have just been saying to my partner, we take each day as it comes.

We remain positive, sensible and keep looking forwards.

Thanks MrsC! Smile

Ahhh you're welcome, I'm not even faking it. I really do hope this pregnancy is ok and we get a baby this time, but I also know I'll be ok if it isn't Smile
