Induction taking forever

So I'm currently having contractions in hospital after being induced for the 2nd time with my 2nd pregnancy. First was 24 hours.

I've had the pessary and had nothing after 24 hours, had the gel, been 12 hours and I've been contracting for 7 hours but my cervix is posterior and they can't break my waters. I don't know how much longer I can go on. I just want this over with to go back to my DC at home and start life as a family of 4.

I've been told to nap, will my progress go backwards if I stop bouncing/walking. Loosing the will to live here

I can fully sympathise. I had the exact same experience last year and it felt like I was going to in hospital forever. I went in on a Monday and it was 10am Thursday that I finally gave birth to my DD. Nothing seemed to be working but the midwife was going to try harder to break my waters (my cervix was being an awkward cow) and they finally went on their own. I hope things speed up for you ❤️ you won't slow down the progress if you sleep, it'll do you the world of good mentally. I practically did laps on the hospital and it made no difference. Good luck!

I'm just glad I'm actually contracting, just hope it speeds up soon. I really miss my 2 year old

OP this was me two weeks ago, I almost lost the will to live. I went in on Saturday , had the pessary followed by 2 gels, by the Monday they had just about got my cervix ready for my waters to be broken but I had to wait 24hrs+ for a room on the delivery ward. Once there my waters were broken by a doctor after the midwives couldn't manage it and baby was born late that night.

It's good that you're contracting, hopefully it means your cervix is getting ready. I fully understand how you feel as I had a two year old at home as well, I was getting really emotional about it. We are now happy at home, you will get there! I know it is so hard though. Best of luck!

I just feel like nothing is happening. I really didn't want a c section but getting to a point where I'll do anything to get her out.

I hope you've got on okay ❤️ It's horrible being away from your other kids, I was away from my 7 year old for the week and it was awful
