Does anyone women have some advice for me I am currently approximately 5 weeks pregnant I think as I can’t work out my dates from my last period but all tests are positive so are my blood works but I’ve been back and fourth to the hospital having to get repeated bloods every 48 hours for the last two weeks as they are concerned I’m having an eptopic pregnancy, because my hcg levels are lower than expected and are not doubling, I had a scan and they couldn’t detect a pregnancy but this has been known to be down to the fact of conceiving too early, I’ve got to go back to the hospital tomorrow for a scan I’m really hoping and praying with all my heart that they can see my little yolk sack and tell me that my pregnancy is going to be viable, when I’ve asked the nurses they have said it’s not impossible it’s just very unlikely, I’ve been bleeding since I’ve found out I’m pregnant but light spotting and only mild cramps which feel more like twinges, I definitely feel pregnant, nausea headaches, bloating frequent urination, irritability, can anyone who has gone through this please help me because they are wanting me to take this injection that will terminate my pregnancy but my argument with that is what if this is a miracle baby and it’s just my dates were too early to detect it on the scan and my hcg levels are rising but slowly, but what if they terminate a healthy pregnancy that’s murder, if I wanted to abort my baby my self I would have but I knew the minute I saw my strip have 2 beautiful strong lines in every single test I took I knew that I could never abort my unborn baby. I don’t want the injection or surgery they are talking about what do I do?

So sorry you are going through this. It sounds like they have been doing expectant management for the last two weeks. Your hcg results along with the scan tomorrow will give them a clear picture of whether or not it's a viable pregnancy. You can have a viable pregnancy even when hcg doesn't quite double but they will also be looking to see if your hcg level correlates with your scan findings and your pregnancy gestation. They won't recommend surgery or methotrexate (the injection) if there is any chance that it could be viable.

The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust has a brilliant helpline, website and forum with lots of helpful information. It might help you to speak to them. https://ectopic.org.uk/how-we-can-help

I'm sure they've advised you about ectopic pregnancy symptoms. Please go straight to A&E if you experience any. Take care of yourself Flowers

Ectopic pregnancy che be life threatening. You have to think about your own safety now. Yes, miracle can happen, but when beta hcg keep rising very slow, it is very unlikely to be a viable pregnancy.

I am not telling this to discourage you, but to help you make the right decision. You can wait a little bit longer hoping to see something, but you can't even hope to have ovulated late since you have been having positive tests and hcg. The risk is a tube rupture and it could be very dangerous. Not to talk about the fact that you'd lose your tube. Please be wise and put your own safety first.

You say you are about 5 weeks now. When was your last menstrual period? When did you have your first positive test and first beta taken? How are the numbers?
