Hi a need a bit of reassurance I’m 20 weeks 2nd baby and been feeling movements since just before 19 weeks I can feel the odd kick and lots of movement but for the last 2 days I can’t feel anything no movements when I have a wee poke tried everything , I phoned my midwife she told me to phone triage and they told me not to worry basically when all I wanted was peace of mind. Has any one experienced similar and everything been ok ? Just need some advice as I'm worrying

Hi op didn't want to read and run. It's probably all okay but I would push to be seen. Don't leave it to chance. They need to see you with reduced movements and you are worried.

At this gestation it’s very normal to have days not feeling movements after it being regular. Most triages wouldn’t see you this early for that. You will have your anomaly scan coming up at some point in the next 2weeks?

@Mummyme87 yeah got it on Tuesday & thank you a just wanted to even hear that from the triage today a little bit of reassurance that it was normal
To have days not feeling anything, my little girl is 7 so it feels like this is my first time again lol xx

@mamatoabeautifulgirl thats great, hopefully scan will all go well. Totally normal on movement front, I’m a labour ward midwife and have these conversations regularly! Also 20weeks pregnant with #3 so have the anxiety also!!

JD90 · 25/08/2023 17:27

Yup totally normal, I had days between weeks 22 and 25 where I'd feel nothing, bub was just facing the other way so wasn't hitting my abdomen. 27 weeks now and happy as a clam in there beating me up.

PickledScrump · 25/08/2023 20:37

Totally normal at that stage. I would regularly go days not feeling movement. You may not feel regular movement until 28 weeks. Baby is still quite small and can move into positions you can’t feel still

Not got the experience of the other comments but just wanted to say you're not alone! I'm nearly 21 weeks and I can have a day where she moves a lot and then can have a day where I feel nothing! Such a worrying awkward time so you're not alone!
