Braxton Hicks at 10 weeks and slight bleed ...

Had what felt like a braxton hicks earlier today and then next time I went to the loo there was a little bit of bright red blood in my knickers. Have just spoken to a midwife at my hospital who said 10 weeks is too early to get braxton hicks (although I'm sure I've read that you can get them in the 2nd month). I haven't had any pain - definitely felt like a braxton hicks rather than a cramp (this is my 2nd pregnancy so know what they feel like).

Anyone else experienced this?

I've had loads of braxtons since about 12 weeks I think - maybe earlier I'm not sure! If there's no pain and it was a one off bleed, it could just be one of those things. I had something similar at 17 weeks post sex (so probably cervical erosion or whatever tey call it). There's nothing anyone can do at that stage anyway....

Thanks for your replies. Went for a scan on Saturday and they told me that there was no baby just an empty sac - so had an ERPC yesterday

I had contractions with no pain early on, was told had been overdoing it. As long as not painful and regular nothing to worry about, just start taking things easy
