Miscarriage Help!

Wondering if anyone has any similar experience - found out I was pregnant 19th July, a week later started spotting so had bloods and confirmed hcg was low at 88. Repeated bloods 48 hours later and hcg had dropped to 44, I started to bleed at this point so miscarriage confirmed. Took 2 weeks for bleeding to completely stop. A few days later I did a test and very faint positive. A week after this did another test which was still a faint positive, then did 2 more over the next 4 days (clearblue ultra early tests this time) which were both very clear positives.

I went back to EPU for more bloods this Monday & hcg level was 37 so barely a drop from 44 4 weeks ago. Today they have dropped to 29 and am having to go back for a scan in 2 days time.

has anyone experienced such a slow drop in hcg following a natural miscarriage at 5/6 weeks? Will be 5 weeks since bleeding started on Friday, I would expected to be back at 0 by now!

Sorry for your loss OP. I glhad something similar. Don't remember how many weeks it took to get back to zero. But for a few weeks hcg did fluctuate up and down.

I also had a scan to confirm everything has eliminated on its own. Which I also recommend you.

Best wishes. Take care!

I have no experience, but from reading other peoples testimonies, it seems it is fairly common to still have hcg for weeks after a misscarriage. Sometimes up to 2 months.

Thanks both, I thought as the hcg level was SO low at the beginning of the miscarriage it should be much closer to 0 by now, almost 5 weeks later! How can it drop by half in 48 hours then barely at all 5 weeks later, just feels soo dragged out now

hopefully the scan on Friday gives me some answers
