I'm over the moon of course, as am pushing 38 and wanted children close together. DD is so gorgeous, a great sleeper and can't wait for the new arrival in late Oct. I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who's had children close together - both in terms of coping with the pragnancy and practicalities after the birth. I'm up one minute and panicking the next. Help!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had 3 under 3 years old and it is really hard work. It was a lot easier once I got into a routine. Having them close together is great because they can be so loving to each other, and they do look out for each other.

hi Lardy - I think i'm due end of oct as my last period was 20 jan? Have said hi in the an group for oct. I agree about the under 2 if you're pushing 40 thread! can't be many of us. Ladies of our age are far more sensible and forward-planning, surely?

Please remember (everyone)that breastfeeding is not a contraception and you can get pg before your periods come back! Every week someone on MN gets pg this way .

hello ellens... I am 27 weeks pg with dc2 and i have a 9 month old son. Im at uni (only 20) but up untill now had had a pretty straight forward pg. Its hard going once u get a bump and i have had really bad anemia which has knocked my stamina completly. Feel a bit sorry for my son as i feel he gets a bit forgotton about and i am also daunted by the prospect of having 2 children so close together. I have so many other commitments in my life like uni and i am on my own but I have decided that i will take each day as it comes and have found this thread very useful. Great advise ppl. Simple stuff but i wouldnt have thought of half of it
