Hi OP! I am 4 +1 currently, due May 1st 2024!
How are you getting on?

Screwballs · 25/08/2023 10:15

Cant quite believe it still, did a second test today and got a stronger positive, it seems so early to be testing, I'm not even due on till Wednesday! Anyway, no real symptoms, slightly sore boobs but nothing id notice usually, and slightly gassy which is super fun 😂oh, also pretty vivid dreams for the last week!! how about you?

@Screwballs likewise I am still in disbelief! I have been guilty of testing daily just to be "sure" Blush
I've had mild cramping on and off, a headache here and there but mostly just absolutely knackered! When is your due date?

JC084 · 25/08/2023 11:18

Hi,
I'm 4+2 and should be due around the 1st or 2nd May.
Early days obviously so taking each day as it comes, but very excited. This will be our second child.
Congrats

I have a headache today I must admit! A bit grouchy too, I'm been pretty chirpy since I found out but maybe hormones today? Due 6th May by the calculator. Haven't actually told OH yet... Waiting till missed period, a) so he doesn't think I spend each month testing daily like a crazy lady (I don't!) and b) because we had a miscarriage at 16 weeks last year and I was just a bag of nerves the whole time from finding out due to previous miscarriage so I'm just taking my time to process it all, be relaxed etc before I drop the bombshell! There's a long way to go isn't there! Trying not to rush ahead of myself and I know the second I tell him, I'll be talking about what bloody schools I want them to go to😂

@Screwballs so sorry to hear about your previous miscarriage, crossing everything that it goes better for you this time around
I get you, it's so hard not to get carried away isn't it! I keep worrying because my symptoms are coming and going... up until yesterday I was having mild cramps but those have now vanished!! The only consistent thing is exhaustion...nice excuse to take naps though

@JC084 congratulations! It's nerve wracking in the first few days isn't it...

marshwiggle90 · 25/08/2023 13:41

Congratulations all Smile
Early tester here too, don't think I'm quite 4 weeks yet until the weekend but been getting lines getting stronger past few days. Think I should be due around 5th May if all works out? Nice to meet you all!

bluebunny2 · 25/08/2023 14:12

Hi, congratulations everyone, I’m tentatively joining as well. I’ve actually had 2-3 weeks on a digital test which would put me very end of April or start of May but I’m based in paris at the moment and they do due dates slightly differently so it’ll definitely be May on paper. This will be my 2nd as I have a little girl who will just have turned 3 when this baby is due if everything goes well. 🤞

Iclesarah · 25/08/2023 16:30

I'm not sure if this is a positive or not. The first picture i think shows a really faint line (could just be my eyes) but when I did a clear blue there was no line at all. Period is due today. What do you think?

The first one looks like a line to me! Keep us updated x

@JC084 really sorry to hear Flowers xxx

bluebunny2 · 29/08/2023 13:16

So sorry @JC084 . How is everyone else feeling? I’ve had a little bit of nausea, get random boob pains and am a bit tired but ok otherwise.

lenalove · 29/08/2023 13:40

@bluebunny2 I'm similar to you, the odd mild cramps here and there, occasional bit of nausea but mainly tired. Have booked in a 7 week scan for 2 weeks time and just had a letter from the midwife confirming 12 week scan date so it's starting to feel real!

Oh my god you're organised! I haven't even thought about registering it yet! I'm also gonna really try not to rush into private scans after last time I think, just really trying to be relaxed.

Symptoms so far, sore ish boobs, cramping at points, definitely moody and VERY tired! Poor DP!

@Screwballs sadly I had to tell the GP and get referred to the midwife because I had thrush and needed a prescription Blush (fun side effect!)
I know what you mean about early scans. Worried might be jumping the gun here but I am so anxious I don't know whether waiting would feel better or worse. Have you told DP yet? Or is he just wondering why you're grumbling at him Grin

I told him yesterday, made out that it was news to me too! 😂

Hi all,

I've taken a positive test today. I suspect I'm around 3-4 weeks. I had symptoms that were making me think something was going in (nausea, gas, heartburn, a few cramps, but of backache?) I've never really had early symptoms before.

I'm so anxious and trying not to worry too much ( I found out I was pregnant in August last year and a couple of days later went into early labour at 20 weeks, It was very unexpected and sadly baby arrived too early)

I'm 41 and have 2 older children (19 and 14). So I'm not a young mum as such!!

My partner became father to my children 7 years ago. He doesn't have children from a previous relationship so fingers crossed for us.

Now the trying to not get too excited and keep it quiet at the same time begins!! 😬💗

TaliaYo · 02/11/2023 17:23

Hi everyone, I'm a bit late to this chat as I struggle to navigate Mumsnet 😁

Are you all still due may following the 12 week scan, or are you now dated sooner? I'm still May (7th) and am looking for some solidarity 💪
