Brown Discharge

Hi ladies

I guess I'm looking for some reassurance - has anyone had brown discharge and a happy ending? I'm 8 weeks pregnant, I've had 4 miscarriages and this is a high risk pregnancy due to a genetic condition so I'm assuming the worst, but the others have all been fresh red blood from the beginning so I'm wondering if there's some hope.

It's not constant or heavy; it's just been a tiny amount on the tissue when I've wiped about 3 times today. I haven't had sex or a scan or anything to irritate my cervix but I did go for a run yesterday - could that be linked if I overdid it in the heat?

I've got a scan booked on Tuesday already and knowing my epu I wouldn't be likely to get one this week anyway so will just have to hold on until then to know for sure.

Any stories of similar with good outcomes would help me massively right now as I'm trying to stay positive.

Hi OP, I had a huge amount of brown discharged, which over a few days turned a light pink when I was 16 weeks WITH DC3. I feared the worst but everything turned out absolutely fine, they never did find a cause for it!

I also had bright red bleeding when around 13 weeks pregnant with DC1 and it was a polyp.

I know it's so hard but try to stay positive, the body during pregnancy really is a mystery.

I had 2 previous losses, started getting brown discharge on wiping to but at 6 weeks thought a loss was happening again, went for scan and everything was fine. Come and went from 6-12 week’s currently 15 weeks and everything still fine

I had an early ultrasound and blood tests at 5 weeks and the EPAU said everything is looking as it should. I've been experiencing brown discharge for nearly 2 weeks now. I have another scan coming up just for reassurance but they didn't confirm a reason for the discharge. I'm very worried as this is my first pregnancy and I don't know what "normal" symptoms are, if any.
