I am currently 16 weeks pregnant, it was possible to check for any symptoms in my 12 week scan due to babies position.

I had a quad blood test which I have now been informed there is a 50% chance of the baby having downs syndrome.

I have now had a NIPT test done and have a week wait for the results.

Has anybody had any experience of this and went on to have healthy babies.

I feel very worried.

Hi, I am just wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences as cannot seem to find anything on here.

at my 12 week scan I was told my baby had a high NT of 6.4, we have gone through to NIPT test which came back low risk and then the amnio which all came back clear and I was discharged from FMU.

i have today had a 32 week growth scan and have been told that the baby has excess fluid around their abdomen which they have referred to ‘Ascites demonstrated within the fetal abdomen’. The lady scanning me said she hadn’t seen this before and the midwife who I seen after also said she hadn’t seen this before so couldn’t give me any advice on what it could be/mean.

has anyone else been told that their baby has increased fluid in abdomen at 32 weeks+ and give me any outcomes of advise what it could possible mean?

Personally I wouldn't continue with that level of risk. Hopefully the NIPT results will offer you a better option.
