Lower abdo cramps 7 weeks preg

Am 7w PG - 1st timer - have had cramps on & off since 5w but today seem a little worse. No bleeding or discharge. Is it normal to get cramps in early pregnancy & not to then MC? am quite nervous - has anyone else had lots of cramping in a normal pregnancy?

are they just like period pains

prob just womb relaxing and stretching. i got lots of shooting pains on moving and some period type pains in the middle of the night. woke me up, just like period pains.

Perfectly normal, as long as they aren't sharp stabbing pains that have you doubled over. Why not come and join us on the Oct ante-natal thread and compare symptoms .

I had these at 5weeks and went to hospital only to find out had a bit of wind but also that everything is stretching in there so you are going to feel something, I was really intune with my body throughout my pregnancy and found I panicked with every twinge. I have also had a 2 mc and you know when you are loosing your baby, the pain is strong and sharp, period cramps are generally normal, its just some woman are lucky enough not to have them. If you are worried though please ing your epu and they should see you straight away, or do what I did and go and sit in A&E until they scan you!
