Second pregnancy movements?

Hi!

I am 16 weeks pregnant with my second baby. Had a private scan today, all good. Saw baby wriggling around on the screen but not feeling any movements at all... yet.

Posterior placenta (had anterior last time!).

When did you all feel movements for second baby? Someone reassure me not feeling at 16 weeks is normal?!

Im currently 23 weeks with second baby, like you i have posterior with this pregnancy 1st was anterior, i felt 1st movements with this pregnancy around 13 weeks small Flutters like once or twice a day. Around 16 weeks felt alittle more then strangely I hadn't felt anything for a week midwife said totally normal the uturus is so big compared to baby size and they can hide so you don't feel a thing could be that baby is kicking towards your back. Or kicking when you sleeping from 18 weeks I felt daily movements and now I feel it alot baby is none stop. My advice is you will feel baby movements any day now but don't feel worried as baby still tiny and probably just hiding. But of course if you worried call your midwife for advice xx

im in the exact same boat as you, second pregnancy I was 16 weeks on Friday and went for a private scan - haven’t felt any movements yet either
they told me my placenta is posterior too and I should feel movements earlier for this reason
try not to worry - we’ve seen our babies moving and know they’re ok xxx

I wouldn't worry my first I felt from 16 weeks but my last baby I didn't feel until I was way past 26 weeks x
