I’m not feeling anxious about the section or anything, but I feel quite out of body today, like everything feels a bit surreal.
Anyone else felt like that? Think it’s just knowing how much life is about to change in about 24 hours!

Hi @Uptown2022
I totally hear you hun!
I felt like that too but then i started to think omg i'm finally going to meet my baby and then i just couldn't wait, i was counting down the hours lol! All the best in your c section! ❤ xx

DCINightingale · 20/08/2023 08:31

How exciting OP. It's a strange feeling isn't it. Recommend resting as much as you can today, you'll likely not sleep well tonight with the anticipation, so nap as much as possible. Good luck for tomorrow and meeting your baby Flowers

Mine was a planned section but then ended up being a emergency one everything went all good it’s when the theater team came in and was like we are ready in about 10mins that’s when it all became real and that I was about to become a mum to my twins 🥰 good luck with everything

Thanks all! Yeh, I think just rest, some good food, and the football is on the cards today! Xxx

Aww how exciting! Hope it goes okay and not be long till you meet your baba 🥰

I've got 18 weeks to go! Not counting or anything lol. Just want to meet my little girl already x

Uptown2022 · 20/08/2023 08:58

Thank you! Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.
I’m sure many would disagree, but I’ve really enjoyed being pregnant!

Good luck! I remember my section so fondly, such a happy time!

The only tiny issue I had was trapped gas after but peppermint oil helped with it (they have it in a hospital)

Otherwise it’s such a beautiful experience!

Aww, how exciting! 🥰 My planned section was last year, DD turned one two weeks ago. I remember feel so surreal looking at all of her stuff and realising what was about to come (or thinking we realised before the tiny whirlwind entered our lives 😂). I don't think you can understand this type of anticipation! Good luck tomorrow OP, and happy birthday to your little one arriving 😍

I also loved being pregnant - feels like 100 years ago now!!

I had elective c/s with all three of my babies. I also breastfed all three, and loved that too - yet the night before my c/s with my 3rd I said to DH, "I have to start that bloody breastfeeding again tomorrow!"!! In the end I kept it up for 22 months until DC decided enough was enough and I was so disappointed!!😮

I also bawled my eyes out at having to leave my 5 and 3 year olds at home!

Hope all goes amazingly tomorrow. I still recall my jovial obs booming down the corridor that morning, "well, where's young Runner?" lol!

When I was in your shoes I had a big wobble thinking I am not ready for the world to meeet him yet I love him being all mine and being in my tummy.

Then I waited all day and all day and got sent home at 5pm and had to come back the day after so be careful What you wish for 😂

In all seriousness I'm so excited for you- seeing your baby for the first time and hearing their first cry is indescribable 😍

Ask your birth partner to note what song is playing when baby appears as you might not remember otherwise x

allgoodthings84 · 20/08/2023 22:45

My c section is tomorrow too. I still don’t think it’s sunk in yet and it’s not even my first 😂. I totally get the surreal feeling. Good luck for tomorrow.

moana1234 · 20/08/2023 22:45

Similar - induction tomorrow.
Totally relate to the surrealness of today & this is my 3rd!
Fingers crossed this time tomorrow our babies will be in our arms ❤️ Good luck!
