Backache - do I need to be seen?

Hoping to find some reassurance!

I'm 19w and am experiencing some backache. It starts roughly in the middle of my back but does seem to spread to my right side. It gets better as I stand.

Do I need to be checked or am I being absolutely ridiculous and it's just normal aches and pains?

Sorry if it sounds absolutely absurd!

It’s hard to say. I remember getting horrible back ache at 21-27weeks. I suddenly needed a pillow and proper back support for the sofa/chair etc. it eventually dissappeared around 27/28weeks for me. I’ve never had back issues until that point. You could explain it to your midwife and see what she says or your gp?

I believe for the most part if the pain goes with rest or change of position it is usually nothing to worry about, it's the pains that don't go away with rest/changing position but won't hurt to double check via phonecall for now x
