Hi,

I've had 3 previous miscarriages and then been diagnosed with APS. I had a viability scan at 5 weeks, started on aspirin, tinzaparin and progesterone. I then had a scan about 6+4 weeks which showed a strong heartbeat.

I've seen a midwife whose referred me to see a consultant at 16 weeks and I've got my dating scan at 12 weeks.

Naturally I'm a bit anxious and wondered if people had any extra scans between 6 and 12 weeks?

Thanks in advance

I have APS, the extra scans I have booked in start at 28 weeks (which seems usual), I did end up having extra scans early on but that was because I had severe bleeding.
I had a consultant appointment at 12 weeks after my 12 week scan and my second consultant appointment at 20 weeks (again after my scan). I also have fortnightly midwife appointments after 20 weeks to check blood pressure.
there is a really good Facebook group for APS in pregnancy - I’d recommend joining it.

@NorthernDuckling thanks so much for this - really reassuring and helpful! Will check out the Facebook group.
