I have symptoms of pregnancy, sore breast ect. This is my 7th pregnancy, 1 successful. I am due my period in 4 days and possible around 3 weeks pregnant. First photos of tests I took yesteday - early detection clear blue and 6 days year. Today I’ve taken 2 normal clear blue - how many weeks and says I’m not pregnant. I know it has to be a a certain amount of hcg but sure it be showing today? What do we think? I’ve had multiple miscarriages, chemical pregnancies.

Hi @LaurenLoveday
Was the test today first thing in the morning? Xx

The early detection tests normally have a sensitivity of about 10miu whereas others have a sensitivity of at least 20miu and the clear blue weeks indicator is 25miu. Yesterday your lines were still very faint on a more sensitive test (which is fine and normal at such an early stage) which would indicate your HCG is only just high enough to register on these more sensitive tests. HCG approximately doubles every two days so if it's only just registering on a 10miu test one day, it certainly won't be high enough to register on a 25miu test one day later. Nothing to worry about, just wait maybe 3 or 4 more days and try again :)

You need to stick to the same test in order to monitor progression. Just buy a load of 10miu internet cheapies and do one each morning.

The digitals aren’t designed to be used before your missed period, they’re just not sensitive enough.
