Hoping to hear from people that have been on / will be going onto Statutory Maternity Pay. How much did/do you a get a month and is it taxed? I'm not too sure how it works and mine will be starting at the end of the year once i've gone on maternity leave.
How did you find 'surviving' on SMP? We have our rent / bills set aside for the length of time I'm looking to take off, so anything I receive will be disposable (to an extent). I'm still worried that it's quite a low amount .. but I'm reading online people are receiving anything between £500 - £650 ish a month.
