I'm 5 months post section and the numbness is definitely less than it was but still there. Do lots of massaging and different textures on it to encourage feeling back. I think it will continue to get a bit better over time but will always be a bit numb, scar tissue normally is.
I've asked a few friends who are years post section and they still have some numbness.

I still have some numbness 9 years later.

Exercise 😂 I still haven't really. I don't have time yet. When my baby naps independently I'll go on the exercise bike for half an hour a day. Only contact naps at the moment.

I went for a 45 minute walk when I was about 2.5 weeks post section. From about 5 weeks I was walking every other day. But no real exercise yet, I think you can from about 6-8 weeks as long as you feel able to but everyone is different.

I'm nearly 3y after my first c section and definitely not numb any more- can't remember when, but it might have been around 6-9m when the numbness ended.

But the scar is still a bit itchy on a hot day or if I wear tight jeans. 3y on. I think it's forever sadly

My first was an emergency c-section and I was numb for a long time afterwards. I fell pregnant again when my son was 13 months and I don't remember still having numbness when I was pregnant. I ended up having another emergency c-section but was only numb for maybe a month or two. I don't have any numbness or discomfort now. However I did have a patch on the outside of my left thigh that was numb/painful for some reason? I think that must have been a side effect from the spinal. That lasted maybe around 6/7 months.

Yes I had an emcs in 2019 and although I had numbness at the scar site it did go after a few months xx

I would recommend condoms until your lochia has stopped to reduce the chance of infection

I just went back on the pill but I suppose it’s all down to personal preference x
